Lego Batman

The Process

This project was to enlarge any small object to a massive proportion, assigned to us for an art final. I chose a Lego Batman because I am a Batman nerd and I thought it’d be a fun challenge to try and scale up the mechanics. I started with a sketch to determine the size of all the pieces and set out to find the cardboard. I used masking tape to shape the cardboard into each individual piece and attach them where needed. I knew I needed the arms to look more organic so I chose a pool noodle and more masking tape. Legos, from my observation, were made very simply and attach easily, so I just did my best to replicate. Every piece moves just like a Lego, down to taking off Batman’s mask, and if anyone is curious, I did receive an A for this.
