The story goes, I moved to Florida to be closer to family and help raise my niece Amina. I then attended UNF and was walking to class, like a boring person, and saw everyone around me skating by. It occurred to me, hey it’s flat here, unlike back home, and I decided I wanted to finally be a skater. I researched and decided to get a blank board because they are cheap, so I took 100 dollars down to one of the few skate shops left and had a talk with the nice, hippie esk, skater dude. I bought a board on sale, he gave me the trucks for a discount, the grip tape and hardware was free, and the wheels were about half the budget so I could have a smooth ride. I spent weeks at my sister’s house, in her driveway, practicing nights on end and falling a lot with no one around to see. After a couple months I felt comfortable skating around school and decided to christen this achievement with a new paint job, thus The Bob’s Burgers Board was born and I haven’t stopped skating since. I drew out my sketch in, you guessed it, Photoshop and made a cool composite of my favorite characters. I painted this in my sisters back room with acrylics and a little patience. I painted thin layers so they’d dry quicker and I could get it done quicker. I gave it a full white paint job and let it dry overnight then I got started.
